New Features for the 2021 Acura TLX

As much as we’ve come to love this generation of the premium sport sedan, Vern Eide Acura in Sioux Falls is excited to announce the 2021 TLX has just arrived at our dealership! Acura has called the redesigned TLX its quickest, best-handling, and most tech-savvy sedan in their 35-year history. That means South Dakota drivers should buckle up as we preview the new features for the 2021 Acura TLX.

When is the 2021 Acura TLX available?

2021 TLX Price

While the newly redesigned TLX release date isn’t until this fall, pricing for the 2021 Acura TLX is expected to start at $37,500 MSRP*. 2021 TLX trims will include the following:

  • 2021 TLX 2.0T (Standard)
  • 2021 TLX 2.0T with Technology Package
  • 2021 TLX 2.0T with A-Spec® Package
  • 2021 TLX 2.0T with Advance Package

Is the Acura TLX fast?

Complete with a new model-exclusive body structure, Acura is calling the redesigned TLX its quickest sedan in the history of their company. But what are auto experts saying? According to a recent review by MotorTrend, they estimated the 2021 Acura TLX 0-60 MPH time at 6.5 seconds! The all-new TLX will also see significant performance gains to the tune of 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque thanks to the following enhancements:

  • 2.0-Liter DOHC VTEC® Turbocharged Engine
  • 10-Speed Automatic Transmission
  • Sport-Tuned Chassis with Double Wishbone Front Suspension

The 2021 TLX also comes equipped with electro-servo brake-by-wire technology borrowed from the NSX supercar.

The redesigned TLX interior was inspired by the Acura Precision Cockpit. Its cabin is flush with genuine wood and metal finishes, and performance-hungry drivers can outfit their 2021 TLX with an available, flat-bottom sport steering wheel. For a touch of sophistication, Acura has included new LED interior ambient lighting with up to 27 IconicDrive™ themes.

2021 Acura TLX Type S

Although Acura hasn’t set a 2021 TLX Type S release date quite yet, Vern Eide Acura and dealerships across the country expect the TLX Type S to hit their showrooms next spring. Acura’s performance-driven heritage will be on full display with the return of the TLX Type S, boasting an exclusive, 3.0-liter V-6 turbo engine, standard-equipped Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®), and head-turning performance specs of 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque (estimated).
